As a musician, writer, and convention personality, Matt Knowles has dipped his toes into many different creative pools over the years. He is no stranger to being in the public eye, having fronted metal bands and also being an in stadium P.A. announcer for multiple pro/semi-pro soccer teams.
Matt's first foray into the non-lyrical writing and creating world was the e-book version of HEIRS OF ISILDUR - THE CROSSROADS CONUNDRUM which begat the comic story arc of the same name. That arc saw 11 individual issues that were then reformatted / re-envisioned into a 268 page graphic novel.
The HEIRS OF ISILDUR one-shot NIGHTMARE SCENARIO and the BRAND NEW arc THE PERILOUS PROSPECTS are co-written by KNOWLES and his #TeamINSYM partner STEPH CANNON. They are in traditional comic format.
Steph Cannon's debut story, the one-page "Boot Hill," was a finalist in the Ghost City Comics Competition 2017. Since then, she has co-written and co-created multiple titles for #TeamINSYM, including Misfitz Clubhouse, Heirs of Isildur: Nightmare Scenario, Heirs of Isildur: The Perilous Prospects, and Tales from Nocturnia.
Steph has been a panelist at major conventions like San Diego Comic-Con, WonderCon, and Megacon Orlando, and has hosted panels at Ocala Comic Con, PalmCon, and Aethertopia. She also supports #TeamINSYM’s Matt Knowles with research for panel hosting.
As a freelance reviewer and columnist, Steph specializes in horror and geek culture, with over 90 credits in publications such as Fangoria, Horror Geek Life, Creepy Kingdom, Daily Dead, and Horror Buzz.
