PALMCON: TREASURE COAST - COSTUME CONTEST

November 8 & 9, 2025 - Port St Lucie, Florida

TWO COSPLAY EVENTS AT PALMCON THIS YEAR!!

Saturday - 11/8 @ 5 PM - The PalmCon Costume Contest!

Sunday - 11/9 @ 4 PM - The PalmCon Cosplay Talent Show!

Contest Info

The PalmCon: Treasure Coast Costume Contest will be open to all ages (kids, teens and adults) The contestants will take place on the main stage. Contestants CAN enter in store bought or homemade costumes (this will be taken into consideration during the judging process). Since our first costume contest back in 2011 we have done our best to keep things fun and welcoming to EVERYONE. We invite contestants of all skill sets - there will be NO prejudging, just come with a good attitude and we all will have a great time.

You must pre-register and fully complete a PalmCon: Treasure Coast 2025 Costume Contest registration form in order to participate in the contest.

Rules...

One costume per person. No separate entries from the same person. You may enter as a group entry, but you may not participate in multiple groups.  The group limit is five.

All attendees who enter any of the costume contests must have  a PalmCon: Treasure Coast ticket, badge or wrist band. No exceptions.

The PalmCon: Treasure Coast Costume Contest is limited to 75 entries.

All contestants must fill out the costume competition registration form. Sign up will take place at the PalmCon: Treasure Coast Information Table. We will stop taking entries 30 minutes prior to the start of the costume contest.

All costumes must be PG-13 or less. No nudity or risqué costumes. If you wouldn’t want a potential employer (or your grandmother) to see you wear the costume then don’t.

The Re-Run Rule:  If you have worn your costume during a previous PalmCon Costume Contest and have won an award, you may not compete in the same costume again.  It is time to show us something new!

Props will be allowed, but please do not swing them around in a careless or dangerous manner.  Your prop could potentially harm someone and no one wants that to happen.

No hazardous materials or any materials that will involve clean up or damage will be allowed.  This includes any liquids, confetti, silly string, etc.

Lineup and Roll Call will occur 15 minutes prior to the start of the PalmCon: Treasure Coast Costume Contest.  Please be aware that entrants who fail to show up on time will be penalized for their tardiness.

All awards will be presented at the Judges’ discretion.  There may be more or less awards given than originally listed based on the amount and type of entries we receive.

No bad behavior. You know what that means. No trash talking, sabotage or poor sportsmanship. Improper behavior will get you removed from the competition and possibly PalmCon: Treasure Coast. Remember, we’re all here to have fun.

Weapon Policy

PalmCon: Treasure Coast reserves the right to refuse entry of any prop/weapon it deems unfit for any reason. You may be asked to take measures to make the prop safe before it will be given approval. Be prepared for this contingency. Our goal is to create a fun and safe event … we greatly appreciate your help and understanding in making this happen.

All patrons must adhere to Florida State law at all times during the event, including laws regarding firearms and weapons.

Bladed weapons must be cased or sheathed at all times. No horseplay or demonstrations will be permitted. Any weapon used in an offensive manner will be confiscated and you will be expelled from PalmCon: Treasure Coast. We expect you to use good judgment and common sense. If you can not sheath your weapon and it is perceived to be a danger you will be asked to store it in your vehicle.

Real/working firearms are not allowed at PalmCon: Treasure Coast!!!

Other prohibited items - skateboards, paddles, real bows, loose nunchakus, metal tipped arrows, explosives or chemicals, and signs that are not integral to the costume.

Talent Show Info

The PalmCon Cosplay Talent Show is your chance to step into the spotlight and showcase your unique talents on stage! We’re inviting cosplayers (and even non cosplayers) to perform in front of our audience, showing off what you can do and compete for a trophy … but really this is just a fun event to have a good time with.

If you sing, if you dance, if you can solve a Rubik’s cube super fast - you are welcome! But also think outside of the box - one year we had a lady do a bull-whip demonstration on our stage.

All contestants and performances must be PG friendly if any part of your performance might offend your 8-year-old sister or your 75-year-old grandma do not enter. Contestants will be immediately disqualified for performances that the judges deem inappropriate. If your performance requires music please bring your own devices and speakers (if you don’t we will try to accommodate everyone … however we can’t guarantee our equipment will work with your music device).

You must pre-register and fully complete a PalmCon: Treasure Coast 2025 Costume Contest registration form in order to participate in the contest.

Pretty much the same as the Costume Contest ... only this time you can sing!
